Bachchan made an appearance on screen in Gurinder Chadha's Bride and Prejudice a musical and dance version from Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. Bachchan was able to bring her beauty and star power in her debut English film. She returned to Bollywood for the smash Dhoom: 2 (2006) and then released Provoked: A True Story (2006) in English. She got married Abhishek Bachchan, co-star who is the son of Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan. This marriage brings two of India's top and most prominent personalities together.
