Abigail Spencer

Abigail Leigh Spencer, born August 4, 1981 is an American actress. She's best known for her roles in the movie Cowboys & Aliens. The Haunting in Connecticut 2 Ghosts of Georgia Oz the Great and Powerful The Great and Powerful, This Is Where I Leave You. The actress is currently starring as Amantha Holden on The Sundance Channel drama series Rectify. Abigail Leigh Spencer has worked on television and film. Her roles in both the drama show Rectify and the sci-fi show Timeless made her a star. Gulf Breeze Florida native made her acting debut in All My Children. Her role in the soap drama All My Children earned the actress an award by Soap Opera Digest as the Best Female Newcomer. Her roles were mostly as guest actors for several years in TV programs. The character she played was Dr. Erin Jameson on the show Hawthorne received her praise. Her gorgeous looks and stunning appearance, along with her uncanny acting talent led to a gradual growth of a fanbase. In the film Campfire Stones, she played in the role in the film at age 20. The actress has also been featured on Jekyll This Means War, Chasing Mavericks and other films. Her role for in Beautiful Now was recognized with the Madrid International Film Festival Award. Her most recent appearance on TV is in the character of the history professor Lucy Preston in the sci-fi TV show Timeless. Spencer was named a Teen Choice Award nominee for Spencer's performance in Timeless. The series has won the praise of critics.
