Britney Jean Spears

Britney Jean Sparrow was born in McComb (Mississippi) on December 2, 1981 . She was raised in Kentwood (Louisiana). As a young girl, Britney attended dance classes and was a pro in gymnastics. She won numerous contests and similar. Britney enjoys singing and, more important, she was a fan of dance classes. Britney was just 8 years old when the time came for her to join The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989), however her age was a factor to her being disqualified. Britney was then recommended to the off-Broadway musical "Ruthless" in which she played the lead role for two years. At age 11 She tried her hand at The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989) and it was this time she made her debut as a mouseketeer, alongside many stars of today (Justin Timberlake and JC Chasez of *NSYNC and Ryan Gosling). However, her most notable break occurred in the mid-90s when she was signed as Jive Recording Artist. With the release of her debut album"Baby One More Time" "...Baby One More Time" in the beginning of 1999, Britney became a huge success with 13 million copies of "Baby" and 9 million (as of July 2001) of her sophomore album "Oops !...I Did It Again" which was released in May of 2000. Britney was the daughter of Lynne Spears and Jamie Spears. She has one of her brothers Bryan Spears and a little sister Jamie Lynn Spears. Britney, a child of Madonna, Mariah Carey, and Whitney Houston, was always determined to become a famous. After a long period of vocal and dance lessons, as well as participating in numerous talent shows and fairs, Britney was a candidate for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989) TV series [1989-1994] when she 8years old, however, she was too young to get the role. Instead, Britney, her mother and baby sister relocated to New York where she starred in a variety of TV ads and in an off-Broadway musical, "Ruthless", where she worked as an understudy to Natalie Portman. She discovered her love for dance and music 2 years later when she auditioned again for "Mickey Mouse" and was able to win the role along with Justin Timberlake and Christina Aguilera.

Summer went to American as well as British schools as her family was living abroad. They returned to Pasadena shortly before her 14th birthday.
