Will Ferrell
Will Ferrell
was a member of the cast of Saturday Night Live before going to appear in
major-screen comedy like 'Elf 'Anchorman,' and Talladega Nights. Will Ferrell
was born in Irvine in the year 1967. He began his comedy career as a member of
the group based in Los Angeles, The Groundlings. He was a Saturday Night Live
cast member for seven years and became a popular comedic character through
off-color shows, such as Old School 2003 and Anchorman: The Legend of Ron
Burgundy 2004. Ferrell was also the co-founder of the video streaming site
Funny or Die and enjoyed success voice acting in animated films like Megamind
(2010). John William Ferrell was born on the 16th of July, 1967, in Irvine,
California. The oldest child of Righteous Brothers keyboardist Lee Ferrell and
teacher Kay Ferrell, Will was--by his own admission--not the class clown when
he was an student at University High School. He was calm and quiet but he did
choose to play football with a record at the school for the most field goals
made. Ferrell showed little of the bizarre, comical behavior that would
determine his career and even at his suburban home. His mother who was
interviewed by Esquire reported that her son was very pleasant and kind.
"You know those little Matchbox cars? Will would line up his Matchbox cars
by himself, and be totally happy. You would say, "You want to go to
Disneyland today?" It's a hard conversation for him to consider. Ferrell
was not a straight guy. The hints of his comic skills was visible every morning
at the high school when he disguised himself to make the daily announcements
through the PA system. Ferrell earned his degree from the University of
Southern California, Los Angeles in 1986. He was a member of the Delta Tau
fraternity, and went on to pursue a degree in sports journalism.
